Hello, how's it going? It's Ann. Welcome back to my channel. We are going to do some packing, organizing. I just realized, looking through my checklist of stuff that I really enjoy making travel videos. I love travel videos, I think it just makes me look forward to going somewhere and also organizing. I feel like every time I go on a trip, my packing has gotten better and better so you guys are definitely going to find this video helpful and if you want to share anything with me or anybody else watching, make sure to leave comments or leave your suggestions on the bottom of this video.  First, I want to show you the organizers I use that help me hold all my essentials. I'll make sure to add links of where I bought all the items from below this video. To hold all my clothing, I found these cubes in three different sizes. The set also comes with shoe bags and all-purpose bag to hold your essentials. A laundry bag for your clothing and undergarments and lastly little accessory bag.

 

Organizer(s): 정리함/ 종이 서류를 넣어 보관하는 케이스, 옷을 정리해서 넣는 케이스 등 무엇이 되었든 정리할 수 있게 만든 케이스에 두루 사용할 수 있는 단어

* I think I should buy an organizer for my nail polish. 매니큐어 정리대를 사야겠어.

 

 

 

Essential(s): 필수품  

* These glasses are my essentials. 나는안경을 꼭 가지고 다녀.

 

Hold: 잡다/들다/쥐다 등 다양한 뜻을 가진 동사. 하지만 이 영상에서는 옷을 담다/보관하다는 뜻으로 쓰였다. 이러한 표현을 할 때 잘 떠오르지 않을 거 같은 동사다.

 

Cube: 정리함 모양이 정육면체이다.

 

Come with something : something과 같이 온다-> something에 딸려 나온다는 뜻이다. 우리가 음식을 시켰을 때 메인 메뉴 말고 그냥 딸려 나오는 음식이 있다거나 물건을 샀는데 함께 주는 물건같은 게 있을 때 사용하면 되는 표현. 이 영상에서는 정리함 세트를 사니까 신발 주머니가 딸려 왔다는 말이 된다.

* Does this laptop come with the bag? 이 노트북 사면 노트북 파우치도 주시나요?

* 노트북 파우치 : laptop bag/ laptop sleeve

 

All-purpose bag: 모든 목적 주머니-> 다용도 주머니를 뜻하는 거 같다. (아무거나 다 넣어서 가지고 다니는 가방이나 파우치를 이렇게 부르면 되겠다)

 

 

Laundry bag : 빨래 주머니

Clothing: 옷류

Undergarment :속옷(underwear)

 

 

 

 

 I bought two extra waterproof shoe bags and a new toiletry bag and lastly a makeup pouch. You'd be so surprised how much this can hold. Alright. It's time to pack. I like to start with the bottoms becasue they are typically more bulky. I often like to also mix and match a lot and when I select my pieces, I make sure they are versatile in design. For casual outfits, I'm packing a pair of relaxed jeans, a flowy skirt for when I am feeling whimsical,  tailored patns for those put-together days, leggins for comfort and shorts on hot days.

Bulky : 부피가 큰

Bottom : 하의

Piece : 옷 한벌 한벌을 의미

 

Versatile : 사람이 versatile하면 다재다능하다는 뜻이다. 물건이 versatile하면 여러가지 용도로 요긴하게 쓰인다는 뜻이 된다. 계란을 예로 들면 계란탕, 계란말이, 계란후라이, 삶은 계란으로 다양하게 해먹을 수 있다. 따라서 옷이 versatile하다는 것은 여기저기 받쳐입기 좋다는 뜻이 된다. 디자인 적인 면에서 이옷 저옷 믹스해서 입기 좋은 옷이라는 뜻이다.

* I have a lot of white t-shirts because they are so versatile. 난 흰 티가 많아. 여기저기 받쳐입기 좋아서.

 

Relaxed jeans : 헐렁한 바지

* I like wearing relaxed jeans.

 

 

 

Flowy skirt : 하늘거리는 치마/나풀거리는 치마

내가 한창 입고 다녔던 발레 치마라던가 하늘거리는 긴 치마를 표현할 때 쓰면 좋은 표현.

* You can see a lot of Korean women in flowy skirts these days.

 

 

 

 

Feel whimsical : 변덕스러움을 느끼다. whimsical은 엉뚱하고 기발하고 예측하기 쉽지 않은 느낌. 평소와는 다르게 색다른 느낌.

Tailored pants : 내 몸에 딱 맞춘 바지-> 정장 바지

 

 

 

Put together : 동) 조립하다/준비하다

Put-together : 형) 단정하고 깔끔한 느낌 / put-together day : 깔끔하고 단정하게 입고 싶은 날

Leggins : 레깅스

Shorts : 반바지

 

 

 

 Having a hoodie is a must for me just in case I feel chilly indoors or outdoors. It's always good to pack something cozy just in case. When it comes to packing, I like to start with the heavier pieces and then I go in with the lighter pieces that are easy to squeeze in between small spaces. For this second clothing bag, we're going to pack a dress, a romper, two tank tops, and four t-shirts. If you want to maximize your outfit options, without overpacking, choose lighter-weight clothing that easily rolls up. Also, select versatile colors and prints that you can coordinate with your bottoms. It's amazing how many outfit options I can pack into these two cubes. After I roll everything, I am now going to put it into my bag. And I'm putting the romper in as the last item because it's a weird shape. A feature that I really love about these bags is that they come with buckles that prevent your clothes from unraveling.

 

Hoodie : 후드티

 

 

 

Something is a must for me: must 앞에 a가 붙었으니까 must는 명사로 쓰임. 꼭 가져가야 할 물건.

Feel chilly : 쌀쌀함을 느끼다

Something cozy : 입었을 때 포근하고 편안 옷. 수면바지 같은 옷의 느낌.

 

 

 

Squeeze in : 안에 쑤셔넣다/ 이 영상에서는 가방 안에 남은 공간에 다른 옷을 쑤셔넣다는 표현.

검색을 좀 더 해본 결과 사람들이 사진을 찍을 때 카메라 앵글 안에 다 들어올 수 있도록 '붙어 붙어~!'라는 뜻으로 'Squeeze in~'이라고 하기도 한다.

좁은 공간에 낑겨 앉는다거나 이미 타이트하게 짜여진 일정에 다른 약속을 끼워 넣거나 할 때도 두루두루 사용 가능.

 

* Can I just squeeze in here? 쇼파에 낑겨 앉을 때

* I think I can squeeze you in. 바쁜 일정 속에 친구와의 약속을 추가 할 때

 

 

Romper : 위 아래가 붙은 옷

 

 

 

 

Coordinate with something : something과 옷이 잘 어울리다/ 조화를 이루다. 흔히 말하는 코디하다는게 이 동사를 말한다.

 

 

롬퍼를 가장 마지막에 넣는 이유가 it's a weird shape라서 그렇다는데 직역하면 '그것은 이상한 모양이다'이지만 의미를 생각해보면, 옷이 나풀거리고 접어도 모양이 유지되지 않으니까 저렇게 표현한 거 같다. 나도 옷 중에 저런 소재라서 접기 힘든 옷이 좀 있는데 저런 표현을 한 번 써봐도 될듯하다.
